Clarification: Once you upload a public SSH key to the HPC portal, it will work and enable you to log in after two hours, tops. However, your home directory will be created independently by a separate mechanism that may run only at fixed intervals. Hence, it can take longer (up to 24 hours) for your account to be fully functional.
That said, we will not extend the deadline for Assignment 0. If you only activate your account 12 hours before the deadline and expect everything to work smoothly, it's not our problem.
