Assignment 4 Task 1b: Granularity of data transfer

Dear Ptfs Team,

Trying to solve Task 1b I noticed that nowere is mentioned how many Bytes per Transfer are done by DDR4 ram, some resarch showed that 1 transfer = 8bytes for DDR4.

I just wanted to make sure that the assumption is correct and, if possible, if you could point out were it was mentioned in the lecture, since I am unable to find any mention to DDR ram in all the slides. Also, in the lecture we are given a table,Table of archtecture properties

this seems to me like an error, it does not make much sense that the Peak BW is the same.

Nevermind I found it! Slideset 4! I will leave the post for the table issue!

Hi Erik,

you are right, for IVB it should be either 1600 MHz frequency or a peak memory BW of 59.7 GB/s with adjusted maximum attainable BW (both hardware setups exist).

We will fix that.
