Unable to login to Fritz with VPN

I was trying to connect to my PTfS account in Fritz from a new device but it is asking me for a password. I have tried creating a new key and uploaded it to portal.hpc.fau.de and updated the config file, but still, doesn´t seem to work. I installed FAU VPN and tried connecting to Fritz directly (connected vpn: vpn.fau.de) but that is also asking for a password. Could someone suggest ways to debug/fix this issue?
