Dear Dr. Hager,

I get the following error message while uploading the key.

"This key is too short. The minimum accepted keylength for RSA-Keys is 3072 bits, shorter keys are not considered secure enough."

As advised I have checked for line breaks and spaces yet I keep getting the same error. Kindly assist.

Hi,

as the error message tells you, the minimum RSA key length accepted by the portal is 3072 bits. Current versions of OpenSSH have a default key length of 3072 bits, so if you just use "ssh-keygen" it should produce a key that has the required length. If this is not the case for you, you are probably using an old version of OpenSSH. You can set the key length explicitly with the "-b" option, so "ssh-keygen -b 3072" should do the trick.

Best,
Georg.

Dear Dr. Hager,

I tried deleting my old key and upload a new one I was getting the following error.

"Error - Query failed with error code 31250 and error message 'Path collision at publicKeys' on server noidm-xray.rrze.uni-erlangen.de:27017 (Status: 500) for key"

Kindly assist.

Dear Sir,

While uploading my key, I received a bad key error. Because of this when I try to connect with the fritz server I receive the following message "This account is currently not available. Connection to fritz.nhr.fau.de closed.".

Also, now when I am trying to delete the key, it is giving the following error "Query failed with error code 31250 and error message 'Path collision at publicKeys' on server noidm-xray.rrze.uni-erlangen.de:27017 (Status: 500) for remote cip pool key 01-05-2022".
