Dear students,
there will be multiple intro sessions in the next week, both for students doing the programming project but also for students doing the 7.5 ECTS module.
- On Monday, June 15, we will provide an introduction to the LIKWID tool suite. This will take place as a replacement for the lecture, i.e., at
2:15-3:45 p.m., Lecture Hall H10. If you have never worked with LIKWID before and are planning on doing the assignments or the CAM project, we highly recommend you to attend as we go through the basic usage of the tool, its capabilities and pitfalls. Make sure to bring a laptop to tag along during the hands-on parts! - On Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19, we will introduce part 1 of the coding project subsequent to the tutorials. As always, both sessions will present the same content, it is sufficient to attend one of the two tutorials. The project intro will be in the same room as the normal tutorials, so make sure to be there for the start of the tutorials at 10:15-11:45 a.m., Room 02.133-113 (Thu), or 8:30-10:00 a.m., Room 00.151-113 (Fri). These intro sessions are obviously only relevant for students doing the 10 ECTS module, so feel free to leave after the regular tutorial if this does not apply to you.
- Part 2 of the coding project will be introduced in July and we will announce the date as soon as it is fixed.
None of the intro talks are mandatory, however, we still recommend you to attend as we will answer arising questions and joining might prevent you fromĀ mistakes and difficulties during assignments and the project. For all sessions we will upload the slides afterwards but there will be no recording!
Best,
Jan
